Welcome to the Iowa Music Teachers Association! Iowa Music Teachers Association Active Membership offers a mentoring program for young teachers and those who are new to the Association. Members are also afforded the opportunity to register for the Iowa Music Teachers State Conference at the reduced members rate.

IMTA STATE AUDITIONS will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa.
February 7-8, 2020 Terrace Hill Endowment for the Musical Arts Competition will take place on at the studios of Iowa Public Television in Johnston. Submit the official entry form along with a non-refundable fee of $25. Checks should be made payable to THEMA. Select the entry form and fee which are to be postmarked no later than January 4, 2020.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 9,2020 at 3:00 pm The Terrace Hill Endowment for Musical Arts is presenting a piano program, “The Victory Vertical Project.” Join us at Faith Lutheran Church for this unique program performed by concert pianist and Steinway Artist, Dr. Garik Pedersen. IMTA/MTNA & LOCAL DUES
IMTA/MTNA Dues deadline is July 1 for all renewing members. A grace period is offered between the time statements are issued at the end of April until September 1. *Student members must be paid by October 1, 2019. All other members are in good standing provided they have paid before September 1. New MTNA/IMTA members may pay at any time the first year and are offered a half-price membership after January 1.
*Any student member wishing to enter their students in IMTA competitive or non-competitive events must pay full IMTA and MTNA membership, due July 1, no later than September 1.
